About our campuses
Pleased to meet you!
Whether this is your first experience with the K-State community or one of many, we’re glad you’re here! We’ve been serving the people of Kansas — and beyond — since 1863 as the nation’s first operational land-grant university.
Being a land-grant institution has given our mission a laser focus: developing tomorrow’s leaders with the skills needed to create life-changing solutions that better the world. K-Staters believe they are more than just a community of fans who love wearing purple and cheering on the Wildcats — we’re a family, and family always comes first.
No matter where you call home, we invite you to consider K-State and Manhattan as your home away from home. We’re thrilled you’re here, and we’re excited to show you around.
United in purple
K-State is made up of four campuses spanning the state and the globe. Each campus has its own strengths and connections that fit perfectly within our family.
Our main campus sits in “The Little Apple” and thrives in its vibrant college-town atmosphere. It is home to a majority of our programs, faculty and students. Historic limestone dots the landscape as well as new, stateof-the-art buildings and 90+ research facilities.
This campus brings K-State research, education and outreach to the Greater Kansas City area.
Polytechnic Campus at Salina is an hour west of Manhattan and is home to the university’s College of Technology and Aviation.
Our distance-based campus provides educational opportunities through online degree programs, professional development workshops and enrichment programs
