Pounce’s Welcome!
I’m Pounce the Panther. You may recognize me as UWM’s mascot. Since I stepped onto the UWM campus, I’ve been #PantherProud and living the MKE lifestyle.
UWM is a vibrant and diverse university, uniquely able to offer exceptional academic programs and the excitement of living in the cultural and economic capital of Wisconsin. UWM was recently recognized as one of the nation’s top research universities, which means our students study with world-class experts who are making cutting-edge discoveries. The university also offers a comprehensive liberal arts and professional education through more than 190 academic programs.
When I’m not attending classes, I get to represent our university at events all across Milwaukee (including basketball games at Panther arena). UWM has a massive impact on the city, and students can get involved with hundreds of local businesses and organizations through internships, volunteer opportunities and just hanging out!
