This document is an overview of all the basic information you’ll need when you’re getting your ad/materials together. It includes ad dimensions, materials requirements, and design tips for print ads.
Of course! The first thing we do when we get the freshly-printed Visitor Guide is mail you a copy. That will be sent to the billing address we have on file, unless you let us know otherwise. If you’d like more than one copy, please contact your Sales Associate. For quantities over 25 copies, we need to make arrangements with the printers, so please request any extra copies as soon as possible.
The Guide will also be available all over campus, at the locations listed in the Media Kit.
We try to avoid printing cutout-style coupons whenever possible. The Guide only prints once per year, so cutting holes in pages reduces the shelf life. Plus, it cuts down your exposure--if the first person to see your ad cuts it out, a large portion of our audience won’t see your ad at all. Instead of cutout coupons, try using a promo code, bar code/QR code, or copy like “mention this ad” or “show student ID”.
If you include an expiration date on an offer, keep in mind that the Guide will run for a full year. Ask your Sales Associate for actual publication dates.
Cancellation is not an option. Once you sign an advertising agreement, your space is reserved. It becomes very difficult to produce a quality magazine if we have sponsors pulling out and creating holes in the layout!
If you refuse to provide art/ad materials after you’ve reserved ad space, we will create an ad for you using whatever materials we can find online, and a fee will be added to your invoice.
Your online business listing is included as part of your advertising package—there is no extra cost for business listings.
Advertising in the print edition of the Visitor Guide automatically gets you a listing in the mobile edition too! You don’t have to provide anything for this extra exposure. We will pull your company information directly from your Google My Business into the website.
Since the content in the digital versions is pulled from the print edition, we want to make sure we have the most up-to-date and accurate version of everything before we update the digital editions. So, we do not update digital editions until the print edition has gone to press and we’re sure all the content is final. Between updating content, uploading listings, and proofing everything, it usually takes 30-45 days after print publication delivery before the digital product is final and ready for launch.
