Family Weekend

Each fall, parents and family members are invited to join us on campus for our annual Family Weekend celebration. This exciting weekend of activities includes stimulating presentations by faculty, a reception with President and Mrs. Loh, the Pines Family Festival & Tailgate Party, the opportunity to attend the home football game and other sporting events, musical performances, entertainment, Sunday brunches and much more. Make reservations and book accommodations early if you’ll be coming.

Homecoming

The university welcomes back alumni to join current students for a week of fun, food and football each fall. The celebration culminates with the Terps taking on a BIG TEN rival. Alumni, students, parents and other fans are invited to volunteer at a Do Good community-service event; attend the carnival on McKeldin Mall and the annual comedy show; and tailgate and celebrate outside Maryland Stadium before the big game.

Maryland Day

On the last Saturday of each April, the university welcomes tens of thousands of visitors from across the region for a celebration of learning, exploration and fun known as Maryland Day. Individual colleges and schools, as well as athletics and admissions, host more than 450 events that showcase undergraduate and graduate education, student and faculty research and information that you can use at home.

Art Attack

A day of student activities on McKeldin Mall, such as gladiator jousting and cookie-eating competitions, leads up to this annual concert in the Xfinity Center featuring a national headliner. In May 2019, the show featured Lil Yachty and Vince Staples, thanks to university sponsored Student Entertainment Events.
